On both occasions, the apparent couple showed how they’re dressing for autumn this year.

Saturday Night Live chic ‘fits

During their first outing, Swift rocked an almost all-black outfit in the form of a Versace corset paired with high-waisted trousers and tall sandals. She also accessorised with a US$825 houndstooth coat from Gant, a US$340 Aupen bag and a US$70 gold necklace from Mazin Jewels.

Kelce, on the other hand, wore a bird-print jacket from Jil Sander over a white button-up shirt, brown trousers and white trainers.

When they stepped out again on Sunday evening, Swift and Kelce swapped styles. The musician sported bold prints and various colours while the athlete rocked a more neutral look.

Kelce’s tan, button-up jacket perfectly matched his trousers and both pieces were seemingly made from velvet. He wore them with white Nike trainers and a black T-shirt. Swift, on the other hand, wore a green, purple and black sheer top from Jean Paul Gaultier – which retails for US$463 – with a strapless top underneath. She also wore a leather miniskirt and heeled leather boots from Louis Vuitton.

Move over, Leo! Supermodel Gigi Hadid and Bradley Cooper’s rumoured romance

Rather than matching their outfits on either occasion, Swift and Kelce rocked their respective styles while coordinating just enough to be in sync. The two had fun with some trendy styles while completely ditching others, not fully embracing the season’s most popular fashion trends.

They both wore the neutral monochrome look that Gen Z loves, but Swift ignored the long denim skirt trend in favour of a leather mini. Rather than wearing one of the worn leather jackets that are everywhere right now, Kelce opted for two softer coats back-to-back.

So far, it seems that Kelce could be taking a cue from Swift’s playbook: embracing personal style over fashion fads.

“Taylor Swift’s style reflects her personal fashion choices rather than ones that conform to industry trends,” fashion psychologist Carolyn Mair recently said. “This authentic approach has made her a style icon and very relatable figure for her fans, almost like the girl next door – but better.”
